My brother actually ran out of oil because they didn't come when they said they would. He is not impressed...

The same thing happened to me, but they just forgot to deliver us oil for 5 months. I have had them in the past and didn't have any problems with them. I am never coming back after this is over!

Poster come on the board ALL the time saying how cheep their oil is with Slomins.

And for EVERY post of how cheep they are, are 5 posts on how they suck.

Personally I would NEVER use a "big" or "national" company for oil. I have always used family owned businesses in the town (or around) where I live. The same people answer the phone all the time. The same people come too service my equipment every year. I get the best service when I call at 2am because there is a problem.

Slomins oil is not cheep enough to deal with these kinds of problems.

We gave them a year and thankfully our contract ended... We are back with local family owned.

Thoughts about Slomins for oil

I had them for two years without a problem. I switch back and forth between Slomins and Meenan to get better prices for switching. But I've never really noticed any difference in quality between the two. I also haven't had any major issues with the boiler or anything like that so maybe that's why.

Thoughts about Slomins for oil

their customer service is horrible.
We had our heat go off a couple times last year (no big problem) and the customer service rep was RUDE. one time they did have to come out and it took HOURS. i dont even think it was the super busy time? They change our delivery dates all the time.

I switched back to meenan this year because not only was the price better but they are super nice and service is great.

We have them and they are fine. We've also had small, local companies and don't notice a difference. We change depending on price.
