Dumb question about labor!
This is a really dumb question but are there some woman who physically can't go into labor at all? I'm starting to have some serious doubts about ever going on my own. I'm dilating so much and still haven't had any contractions. It's just so weird to me. I was just curious if maybe there are women who just can't go into labor naturally at all.

I felt like that too - I went to 41 weeks - and was walking around 3cm dialated for about a week or two, I forget. Ended up getting ridiculous contractions 2 hours before my induction time, go to hospital and I was 6cm already. Hang in there!

Dumb question about labor!
From all the reading I have been doing and talking to my midwife ,it is really ,really unlikely. My midwife calls due dates guess dates and has seen many woman have beautiful deliveries up to 42 weeks. Trust your body ,your baby will come soon !

Dumb question about labor!
I walked around 3 - 4 cm for 3 weeks and was completely effaced with the baby dropped down. My doctor was literally shocked every time I walked into the office. I ended up being induced on Friday.

With my DD, I went to 41 weeks. No contractions, nothing. I had a checkup the morning I turned 41 weeks and was only 1 or 2 cm dilated. They scheduled me for an induction the following day, but my water broke that evening.
So, according to my checkup that morning, I wasn't even close, but I had DD 24 hours later. Some women walk around 3 cm dilated and have contractions for weeks and no baby. So you never know!

I had gone for my weekly visit, I was not effaced and was just about 1/2 cm dilated. My water broke like 5 hours later and DS came not long after that. When your body is ready, it's ready. Hang in there!
