Cough I Can't Shake
I caught my 17 month old cold. No fever just this cough which is annoying. Last time this happened I couldn't shake it for weeks(cycle I got pregnant). Here we go again.

Re: Cough I Can't Shake
I get it. I have been coughing on and off since 1/2. Its awful! And all these natural "remedies" are bs and do not work. It's so frustrating. I feel like a drug addict but begging for a decongestant. Lol

Cough I Can't Shake
I've been coughing since November. Heartburn and the baby blocking your airwaves could be the cause, as could increased mucous. They are thinking it's all of the above with me. At this point my OB and GYN seem to feel in stuck with it until I deliver.
Nothing has stopped it, but what has helped me sleep is a wedge pillow to elevate my head comfortably. Also drinking decaf tea with honey and lemon before bed or when the cough is really bad.

Cough I Can't Shake
I had this about a month ago. a real bad hacking cough. at times it would trigger my gag reflex and make me vomit.
I drank a lot of tea with honey, and a humidifier at night. once I started using the humidifier, my cough started tapering off. I don't know if it was a coincidence or that it actually helped.

Ask your dr but both my GP and OB said no to any decongestants. They recommended a netti pot, but due to ear issues I have I'm not allowed to use one.
My GPs partner saw me one day and put me on amoxicillin, which helped a little, but it's weeks later and while my cough is less then it was before the antibiotic, it's still there. He also wanted to give me nose spray but my OB said no way. Check anything your GP gives you by your OB first.

Cough I Can't Shake
Me too! I got a cold around 2nd week of January and still have this lingering cough ever since. Doc says lungs are clear, so just might take a while to clear up. Sometimes the coughing fits make me gag and almost throw up also, it's a horrible combination. I'm a big fan of echinacea, but OB told me not to take it while pregnant.
