Q If you have GHI/NYC Healthplan
If you have ever been to L&D before your actual delivery date, did the hospital end up sending you a huge bill? When I had my son all I had was a $300 copay when he was born but I never went to L&D before that. I went to L&D a little over a month ago because of cramping. I got a letter yesterday from the NYC Health plan saying that they did not cover over 6,000 worth of expenses billed from the hospital and that I may be responsible. Did GHI end up covering the rest? I am so nervous now if I am going to get stuck with this huge bill! TIA!

Oh no!!! I went to the hospital two weeks ago and I really hope they don't send me a bill saying they won't cover it! I figured it would be a $50 co pay just like it would be if you go to the ER! I'll let you know if I get a bill or anything from ghi!
