Update on Winthrop
I had my DD on Tuesday and wanted to update expecting moms. My experience was fantastic number one. I was a scheduled induction and went right to L&d in morning. Ob saw me and long story short had my daughter five hours later. My nurse was amazing! She was so nice and helpful. My parents stopped in before I was in active labor and spent time no issues. So, I was actually delivered by a senior resident not by ob bc I ended up going from 5 to 10 in 10 minutes when there was a change in the covering ob. The resident was great! Very nice and intelligent.
I was lucky enough to get a private room upstairs in maternity. My nurses there were great as well. Walking around they tried to keep all rooms singles and most women were not doubled up. The only thing is they ran out of the chair beds for husbands. I also had to spend a lot of time in nursery because my baby was under bili lights. They were great there also and very supportive of breast feeding. All in all it was a great experience.
