Did you check if you are up on all immunizations before starting to TTC?
I just got the results back from my yearly physical and apparently my immunity to measles needs to be updated. They told me I shouldn't be TTC for a few months after I get the immunization. I'm not saying that I don't think I need it, but do we need to stop TTC? I guess what would have happened if we got pregnant this month before I got the results back?
Just curious if others have had to get immunizations, etc. prior to TTCing.

i went through IVF and no one ever mentioned being up on my immunizations, interesting.

I knew I need the chickenpox before having my first but I didn't get it. No issues. I decided to get it before TTC the 2nd mainly b/c I was afraid DS1 could get chickenpox give it to me. I was also advised to wait 3 months.
It's really a personal decision. You can always get it after too.

I didn't find out till after I delivered my DS that I needed rubella? I believe that's what it was anyway, they ended up just giving it to me in the hospital. But I never was told I needed anything prior to getting pregnant.

I did IVF so when they did my blood panel; it showed i never was chicken pox vaccinated. I couldn't figure out how that was possible. I didn't get it at that time since I was starting a FET cycle and now have to wait until I deliver to receive it.

Nope. And in 2 pregnancies, it was never mentioned.
They did check my rubella titers with my prenatal bloodwork. I guess they came back fine since I didn't hear anything about it.

Thanks ladies! I think my doctor is just being overly cautious. I went back to my records and it looks like I was still immune at my physical in 2014 so possibly my levels of immunity are just a bit lower than ideal? DH and I decided we aren't going to stop TTC to take this shot. I didn't have chicken pox vaccine but I had a pretty bad case of chicken pox when I was a kid so I think I'm set.

Now that I think of it, they did check my titers for varicella. I had chicken pox twice as a kid though so I'm sure they came back fine.
