Any experience with this?
According to my LMP my due date should be 2/8/16. Finally got my first sono yesterday and I'm measuring 12 days behind, with a due date of 2/20/16. The technician thought nothing of it and said that's why they do the dating sono, which is why I didn't ask to speak to the doc after. But now I'm questioning it. Baby's heartbeat was strong and good, 160 bpm.
But with my 3 kids, I've never had a sono really be off, maybe a day or two, but never 2 weeks. Anybody go through this and it was fine? I feel like I'm going to be a wreck for 3 weeks till my next appt.

You could of ovulated later than you thought which would obviously give you a later due date. You could always call and speak to your doctor or request a repeat sonogram.
Good Luck and congrats!

My situation is somewhat similar. Based on LMP, I should be due 2/9/16, but my dating sonogram put me at 2/17/16. While I was worried at first, I felt much better after hearing the heartbeat. Like the PP said, it's probably due to a late ovulation.

Re: Any experience with this?
Thanks girls! maybe I'll put a call in, just to get confirmation to calm down. I think I'm most nervous because my older kids know about the baby, because I get very bad morning sickness, and they are just so happy. I've had so many miscarriages these last few years, so it's hard to ever be calm, but I just have to relax and pray for the best.

Sounds like you probably ovulated late.
ETA: I never go off my LMP because I always had long cycles.

Yes my due date changed with the dating sono...twice actually. The first was off buy a week and the next by 2 days. I'm almost 7 months now and everything has been going just fine. Good Luck

Re: Any experience with this?
Thanks ladies, I'm glad I'm not alone! It made me think the baby wasn't growing at a normal rate or something. I called my doc and she assured me that I probably just ovulated late, like you guys said.
