kitchen reno
I have a medium sized kitchen, and we plan to do: - New cabinets- would like custom, but not over the top expensive. Open to stock as long as they go up to the ceiling with molding - Granite counters - Possibly a center island with recessed lighting
The flooring and appliances are new, and we don't plan to reconfigure any plumbing or electric (range and sink will be in the same exact place).
That being said, can anyone on here give some insight on the breakdown of their total kitchen reno cost? For example, did the cabinets cost close to half of the total? Was flooring a huge expense? etc etc.... Just trying to get an idea of how much money we are "saving" by keeping the flooring and appliances, and keeping the range and sink where they are now
sorry for the long post!

My cabinets including tax & delivery are costing almost the same as my labor price, and we are doing a lot. We went with semi-custom, but they are pretty damn close to custom through Starmark. You can get cabinets much cheaper and much more expensive, it all depends on what you want.
It's hard to compare your kitchen reno to mine when it comes to price. I may have more or less cabinets, plumbing, electric, etc... There is no apples to apples, you have to just get contractors in and go to a cabinet designer. We started the estimate process in May, and finally signed last week. Our start date is in Sept. Everything is so detail oriented you can only get a proper idea by speaking with contractors.
