anyone who had an ectopic..
I had an ectopic- got preg. in May, was in beta hell until July, and got the mtx shot- My doctor told me i can try again 2-3 months after the methotrexate shot. Does he mean 2-3 months from the date of the shot, or 3 full cycles after the shot? My levels still are going down from the injection (3 weeks ago), but I would like to try in September again because I am a teacher and cannot lose out on the possibility of being due in the summertime!

We were allowed to try again 3 months from when the shot was administered. GL!

did you get an hsg test done? my doctor said we could do that, and I heard it's good to do because it can clear any blockages and make it easier to conceive

That was a preliminary test that we did prior to any procedures when we were looking for a diagnosis. Didn't have to do it again after the ectopic.

3 cycles - 3 full cycles after the bleeding stopped.

I had to wait three months from the shot, which was a little over two full cycles for me.
I think a large part of it is the shot depletes your folic acid, so the drs want your body to restore it before trying again.
