Property Taxes
Has anyone file a grievance on their Nassau County Property taxes? And if so, which grievance company did you use? My friend suggested Mark Lewis Tax Grievance but I noticed their website mentioned serving suffolk county homeowners. Thanks

Property Taxes
We are in Nassau and use PTRC every year. We got a big decrease for the first year and then another smaller decrease for the second year. Third year is pending.

Re: Property Taxes
We used Zap My Taxes, I believe. Saved us about $1,000 a year.

Don't hire a company to do it -- they take (usually) 50% of what your taxes are reduced by. It is so easy to do on your own through the website. I grieve my own every year and its done in less than 10-15 minutes. Also, around "grievance season" many public libraries offer free classes/seminars on how to grieve your taxes -- I know that both Town of Hempstead and Town of Oyster Bay offer them.
