while pregnant?
I haven't been in a long time. I know I have a ton of work to be done. I made the appt then found out I was pregnant. I have an issue where I don't get numb from the Novocain on one side especially. It takes a lot for me to get numb.
What's safe? I'll ask my dr but just trying to get an idea before.

Yes. It's actually encouraged to get your teeth cleaned more while pregnant to prevent pregnancy gingivitis which could lead to early labor.
As for procedures, they have a Novocain that's safe while pregnant. Just tell your dentist. And no X-rays

Re: dentist
It's very important to go while pregnant! Your gums are more susceptible to inflammation while pregnant.

Re: dentist
They use Novocaine without epinephrine which is safe during pregnancy. I almost had to have a root canal during my last pregnancy and that's how they would've done it. Best in the 2nd trimester.
