Both - neighborhood kids call my by my first name as do the kids that come over and play but they all call my Mrs......when they see me at school, church or other school related functions. All school friends call me Mrs......

First name. I don't think it is disrespectful at all. It's how they talk to me, treat me, their actions around me- where respect comes in. I was raised very casually and all my friends called my parents by their first names and I expect my kids' friends to do the same. I am not formal at all and it would feel really weird to be called Mrs XYZ.
This exactly
If a child is selfish and mean I don't think them calling me Mrs. XXXX is going to make him/her any better. It's how they treat other people and show respect for adults, their peers, our home when they are over, etc. For the most part I've pretty much been called So and So's mom though. LOL!

We go by first names with all my friends kids. I don't find it disrespectful at all......if I asked to be referred to by Mrs._ & they didn't than yes I'd find that disrespectful.

Our children's friends from school, sports, the neighborhood, call us Mr & Mrs...
Our friends kids call us by our first names which seems odd but got used to.
