American Girl dolls

DD got the Doll of the year (2015) for Christmas and just loves it!!!!! i never saw her so excited about a doll.

That said, what hair brush is recommended for the AG dolls? Don't want to ruin her hair.

Can't seem to find any extras for her doll on the AG website as all the 2016 doll stuff is out now. Are past Girl of the Year dolls and items never available again via AG?

What other doll clothes fit AG? I'd be broke buying everything from them! lol

You can buy the clothes from Target or Toys r Us. You might be able to find some of the Grace stuff on their site for a little while, but not long. Keep an eye on the sale part of the AG website. Sometimes you can find good deals. As for the brush, you need a wire brush, if you don't get the one from AG. Get a little spray bottle from the Dollar Store. Spray a little water on the hair and then brush it. Don't brush it dry. Can you tell I have a daughter? LOL!

I bought the American girl doll for my Niece for Christmas, I also got the Girl of the year. However, my sister said that she was told by the AG associates the best brush is a tooth brush and that's what my nieces use for their dolls.

I was trying to buy clothes for Grace since my nieces bday is coming up in a week and saw nothing. She also was super excited about the doll, we were so surprised because was never like that with any doll before.

Unfortunately, once the year is over they stop selling the Girl of the year and all the stuff. I learned that the hard way so this year bought everything when I bought Grace. You can't buy the stuff for Grace on AG anymore or Grace herself. The new doll is Lea Clark and that stuff will be available through 2016. If you really want it you can try Ebay. It stinks but, that's kind of why you don't want to buy the girl of the year in December. Also, why she was discounted then ;)

AG sells a brush for their dolls it's about $8. My DD uses it on her dolls and it works very well. They say to use that brush. I agree with the water spritz - they told me that there as well but, only use a little!

I would get the AG Brush directly from AG. OR the wetbrush works well from what I've heard. But make sure you don't use it on your daughter's hair AND the doll's hair, or it will ruin the dolls hair eventually from your daughter's oils on her hair.

Join the FB American Girl resale groups, you will find TONS of Grace stuff for sale. I see it posted every single day.

Walmart clothes are tight on the girls, and Target has really cute stuff, but the quality isn't so great (seams aren't serged, so they come unraveled). But I like the Target over Walmart.

Avoid the Dollie and Me stuff, unless you wash it first. Even the girl size clothes that match the dolls. The dye on them transfer to the dolls, and they are ruined since the dye doesn't come off vinyl.

My daughter is an AG addict! She has 14 of them!
