Night Shift

My baby is coming in 2 months and DH and I are discussing feeding schedules. He works night shifts, leaving at 10:30 and coming home around 9. Does anyone have any experience with night working spouses? I'm concerned about getting stuck doing night and day feedings all alone.

Night Shift

Shaun doesnt work over night every night but he works 2 nights a week, more if theres OT. But he never got up with Hailey so i dont really expect him to this time... and i plan to BF this time and maybe FF as well when im working.

When hes home and awake tell him its his turn to take a few feedings, etc.

Night Shift

My husband worked the night shift with both of my kids. He helped when he was home and up. I did not make him wake up during the day when he was sleeping since I was on maternity leave and didn't have to go to work.

Re: Night Shift

My husband also works the night shift. He took the first two weeks off when the baby was born to help me out. This helped a lot. Once he went back to work not going to lie, it was rough because he was only around to help with feedings when he was up (so pretty much late afternoon to the evening when he had to go in for work). It helped a lot that my DS attended school during the day when I had DD so I would try to sneak in a nap when she was sleeping.

ETA I never waked him up during the day to take a feeding.
