paid parental leave DOE
is it unrealistic to hope it will be passed by Sept? I'm due July 21, and i'm REALLY hoping it will be in effect by then. From what I read, within your 12 week FMLA period, you can pick any 6 weeks to be paid at 100%, or you can opt to get paid 2-3 days per week to stretch it out for the full 12-weeks.
Does this all sound too good to be true?

I reached out to someone in the UFT who runs the maternity workshops and she is having someone in their department contact me in the next couple of days. i will keep you updated on what they say
