We got asked to be on House Hunters!
LOL...So funny! I sent in an application back in January and they contacted me yesterday! Unfortunately it isn't going to work. The filming dates would be after we want to move in and we aren't willing to wait an extra month to be on it. But was still cool as a thought!

Oh wow! I love that show!!
I thought they filmed it after you already moved in? I heard when people on the show are looking at the houses, they actually already bought the house they end up in. Everything they say is so scripted.
I love it anyway though!

This is true. A friend of mine was so close to getting on the show, she went through all of the interviews and steps involved, and she mentioned that the other 2 houses the people look at are just for the show, at filming you already have bought and closed on the house you chose.

Yup, you have to be in contract and have a closing date in order to get picked.

i was going to be on it too!! but we closed around Christmas and that's when they all go on vacation. LOL

I have a love/hate with this show.
1. I love looking at homes and the way people live, especially international
2. If I hear one more southerner complain that a house has only 3 car garage and 10,000 square feet for 250k I will punch someone. Lol.
3. It's so unrealistic that you look at 3 houses and find one. Real house hunting is nothing like that and far more difficult

agree.. i love seeing houses too
5. If I hear one person comment on paint color I will throw the TV out the window.
