Question About Gel Manicures..and Shine
So.. I got a gel manicure for the first time last month and got a French mani my nails looked AWESOME. Super shiny super and smooth
Went back to the same place today and my nails came out MEH. I used a dark color which I am not crazy about but more so he polish is sloppy and not shiny at all...
What makes a gel manicure shiny?

Rubbing Alcohol, put some on a cotton ball and rub over the polish, instant shine!

I've also noticed that the brand of gel makes a difference to me. Once I have a gel mani with a brand that looks amazing, I tend to stick to it (OPI gel is what I'm stuck on right now).

if its sloppy they did a crap job polishing. the top coat and uv makes it shiny, but the rubbing alcohol i think is what finishes it off.
