Bed bugs
Is it possible to have an exterminator come twice, toss the house and not find anything but still have bed bugs? I have seen no evidence but my daughter is waking up with bites. I asked him to fumigate just as prevention and he said with no evidence he can't. Any thoughts?

Bed bugs
Was it the same exterminator both times....if yes, call in different one to check. Could she be getting bit outside or when she is playing and the bumps just come out overnight.
Are you sure they are bites and not maybe an allergic reaction. I would take her to the doctor and find out what it is.

I would see if they are actually bites. For bed bugs unfortunately heat treatment is the only way to get rid of them

I think I would try to get the bites looked at. I always read on hotel reviews something like the Dr confirmed it was bed bug bites. Not sure if they can really tell, but maybe they can at least tell you if it's bites or an allergy.
Could it be mosquitos? My mosquito bites don't always show up right away.

I was going to say last year I went crazy thinking we had bed bugs when one of my dd kept getting bites on her legs. Had the exterminator out he couldn't find any. Took her to the doctor and the doctor said it was likely a spider bites. Took her entire room apart, vacuumed every wall/floor/surface. Still couldn't find anything. Finally one morning I found a spider and killed it after that no more bites.

For bedbugs, there are mattress covers that you buy for your bed. You put the mattress in it, and don't take it out. The bedbugs would all die in there and she wouldn't get bitten anymore. I'd start there and see if the bites stop. If they don't, then it's likely mosquitoes.

Probably from a spider....I would vacuum under her bed, etc.

Could be from a spider. Or it could possibly be something like poison ivy. I had that earlier this year and it started off looking like tiny bites in a line, and every morning I'd wake up with more so I started panicking but it was just the rash.

where are the bites on her body?
When I was a kid I had bites all over my back and chest. We thought it was an allergic reaction, turned out I had lice. I had it for a long time and didn't know it so the bugs got big enough to bite me on my body.
It was gross!! LOL

They could but bedbugs also sometimes reside in things around the mattress (headboard, nightstand, etc.)
