Tankless hot water questions
If you have a tankless system, do you think it's better? I've heard you have to wait longer for the water to heat up, not sure how accurate that is. Also, how much does it generally cost for the install and unit? DH thinks if we upgrade our system it will save us in the long run. There's nothing wrong with what we have now but I'm just trying to get an idea of what it would cost. TIA!

our previous owners did it, it was $3k on the bill they gave us. Not sure what the work entailed. My parents have oil and a regular water tank, our tankless is by far faster

We have had it for about 3 years now. We really don;t have an issue but in the beginning we had to set the timer on the thermostat for the heat to click in at certain times so it wasn't clicking on when we were in the shower. Once we did that we have had zero issues.

We had one in my last house and loved it. Yes, you need to wait a minute for the hot water to come but when it does it's an unlimited supply. We are installing one in our new house. I think it's about $3k installed.
