low thyroid
anyone have a low hormone level thyroid while pregnant and had to go to an endo doctor and be put on pills to regulate the levels??

low thyroid
I have high thyroid levels. I had it my first pregnancy and again this pregnancy. Mine is actually on the high end of normal for non-pregnant woman, but during pregnancy they want it lower. I was put on a low dose of synthroid. It's pretty common and usually nothing to be concerned about.

Mine were low, but still in normal range in first trimester, so Doc wanted to watch it and repeated test second tri. She said sometimes the rise of the pregnancy hormones can suppress the thyroid hormone (or something to that effect). The second trimester results were good, so no synthroid.

Yes, I had/have an underactive thyroid. I took monthly tests to monitor my thyroid levels. They had to adjust my meds a couple of times during the pregnancy.
Thyroid function is really important during pregnancy.

My levels were low during my first trimester both times, but they evened out eventually
