I had it bad from about 20 weeks on. Dr told me when I elevate they should be above your heart. There isn't much more you can do

Re: Feet swelling

Today was the first day I experienced it (21 weeks). I was on my feet a lot, so maybe that's why. I didn't really have it with my last two pregnancies. I don't think I've been drinking enough water (still nauseous, so it's hard it get it down), so I'm going to try to up that.

All of this and my Dr said to eat more protein. Even with all that, I was still swollen til I delivered Chat Icon. Hope you get some relief

Feet swelling

Mine started around 29-30 weeks with both pregnancies. Nothing I did helped but with my first it went away the second I delivered. Hoping its the same this time around.

Ditto. Though they were always worse when I was on my feet a lot. That was the only time in my entire pregnancy that DH felt bad for me- looking at my grotesquely swollen feet! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Same except mine started earlier.
I used to ice them, elevate them practically vertical over my head, cut down on salt, drink water, NOTHING helped.
It was awful. At the end I could only wear flip flops and not just any flip flops- I had to go out and buy the extra wide croc type flip flops- regular flip flops wouldn't even fit.
Right after I gave birth they actually got worse from all the IV fluids but that night I sat on the toilet and peed for like 10 minutes straight and by the next day they were going down.
I remember getting home from the hospital and calling my mom all excited that i actually saw my ankle bones for the first time in months! Chat Icon

as it gets warmer out, it'll get a little worse, but just stay hydrated and keep your feet up as much as you can. I was due in July, and the last 5-6 weeks were terrible. My ankles and calves were the same size by the end of it

my feet started swelling around week 20 and basically just kept ballooning until I gave birth and then got even bigger right after my csection. I cant give you any advise because no matter what I did, nothing helped. I ended up needing to buy wide shoes and basically wore flip flops all winter because literally NOTHING fit my feet.

Thanks Ladies!

Seems to have subsided a little bit. I elevate when I get home from work.

Oh definitely have this and had it with my first as well. I agree with all he others. It has the most to do with not resting enough. Another thing for
Me is the shoes... if I wore something like ballet flats all day- I was done!!

Hang in there and put your feet up! ;)
