Weak Nails
I need to do something about my nails, since they are breaking constantly (I think it's due to the Opi gel polish, which is long lasting but has taken it's toll on my nails).
I'd rather not take biotin, since it also makes your hair grow faster and I don't need my grey roots appearing quicker.
I'd be fine with getting my nails wrapped or something similar at the salon but don't love the look of acrylic nails (too thick) and the shellac made my nails so weak that they hurt.
Thanks!

Re: Weak Nails
Rejuvacote works great. You can get it on Amazon. You have to keep up with it though and follow the instructions.
Definitely take a break from gel, acrylic, all that. That destroys your nails over time I only do gel manicures for vacations and special occasions now where I need it to last more than a few days without chipping

Re: Weak Nails
Gel is not good. Once in awhile it’s okay if your nails are strong, but if you’re prone to weak nails, even once in awhile can wreak havoc.
I swear by Biotin but since you aren’t digging that idea, give this stuff a shot: Nail Sauce It works WONDERS on strengthening nails and keeping your cuticles moisturized. I swear by it.

Re: Weak Nails
When I took off my wraps a while ago, my nails were really weak. Had been wrapping them for years with out a breather. I didn't take any supplements, but made sure to keep my nails very hydrated to keep them from splitting. No nail polish or remover, just plain nails to let them breathe. Eventually the damage grew out and the nails were stronger. I used plain old Aquaphor, applied twice a day and really worked into the nail.
