Mystery reader book suggestions for 2nd grade
Can anyone suggest books for a mystery reader??
I would like something with Hot Choco, but will take any suggestions.

Mystery reader book suggestions for 2nd grade
my DS is also in 2nd... my friend is a school librarian, and she suggested "The Legend of Rock, Paper Scissors"... the kids liked it! theres also one called "What the Dinosaurs did last night" thats funny and has great pictures

I liked Van Allsburg (the kids don’t know any of the stories except Polar Express). Great illustrations and interesting stories... makes kids think... especially for more mature classes.

Mystery reader book suggestions for 2nd grade
There’s a thread down the page with some suggestions. My kids are in first and third and over the years I’ve read:
The Book with No Pictures
The Day the Crayons Quit/Came Home
Memoirs of a Hamster/Goldfish
Mo Willems Pigeon/Piggie & Elephant Books
My kids also really like the Legend of Rock Paper Scissors and the Underwear Book by Todd Parr.

The only one I know for hot cocoa is-Lucky Pennies and Hot Chocolate. Cute story about a boy and his grandpa. My class loves Interrupting Chicken, Enemy Pie, Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon, Snowmen at Night, Peanut Butter & Cupcake and of course anything Mo Willems.

Mystery reader book suggestions for 2nd grade
Thanks so much. I contacted my local childrens librarian & she suggested The Gingerbread man loose at the zoo. It was a Big Hit!
I also brought the class Animal crackers.
