Re: Does anyone have the problem student?!?
How old is she and what grade (is it K?) My first thought is that she is bored. Negative attention is better than no attention so she may be doing it for some secondary gains.
If she is misbehaving at school, for now, let the teachers deal with it and issue consequences. Do not punish her at home for things that happened in school and that she already got in trouble for, because then she is suffering consequences twice which isn't fair. You can try playing school with her and her dolls/toys, let her take the lead, you may be able to get some information that way. Last, request a consult with the school psychologist - maybe they can help the teacher implement some strategies in the classroom (maybe she can be a helper, etc).

Maybe have her tested for g&t? Maybe she is bored?
I don't really agree with not punishing her at home for her behavior at school. I think that it should be reinforced at home. My SO's son is a 'behavior kid' and goes to a therapeutic school and they have us enforce both positive and negative behaviors at home. I wouldn't make it as severe as if she exhibited the behaviors at home, but I do feel there should be consequences for actions at school. JMO though.

Re: school behavior vs. at home
You have to reinforce at home that the school behavior is not ok. Otherwise, she may not associate it with you being upset with her poor behavior at school.
Sounds like something you should address with the school's guidance counselor. Even elementary schools have them now.
