Birthday party- WWYD?
My DD was invited to a birthday party at the end of June. She is 12. It is a backyard party and the mom said she only invited a few girls but there will be family there as well. I am apprehensive since I have no idea what family will be there and whether they have been practicing social distancing or not. I also do not see my DD wearing a mask at a party. I feel like once they go to eat , they won't put them back on. The mom said it will be in the backyard only but what if DD needs to use the bathroom? I feel bad for my DD bc she has not seen any friends since March. Would you send your child?

I would. Tell her to wash her hands if she uses the bathroom. (Which should happen anyway ) and prior to eating. Send her with hand sanitizer.

Birthday party- WWYD?
I would wait to decide as it gets closer since it’s basically a month away. If I had to make a decision today, I would say no.

I think it would be ok, but maybe not stay the whole time. It's what your comfortable with. My kids hang out with the neighborhood kids, but they social distance. They haven't shared snacks or anything and not on top of each other. She's old enough where she understands she can't sit right on top of her friends of anyone at the party. As long as the weather is nice I would be ok for a short time.

It would be too early for me to call...it's a backyard party so the mom should be okay with you letting her know the week of the party.

I Personally would go. We have stop being afraid. We are on the other side of this thing. Practice good hygiene and ask if anyone in the home has had symptoms Or tested positive in the last 14 days. This is what we have to do for work

I would let her go. My 9 yr olds friend asked him this morning if he wanted to come over and swim in the pool. I dropped him off at 12:30, picked him up at 4:30. But I know the parents well and I know they have been practicing social distancing. I can't live in fear anymore. I think it would be good for her mentally as well.
