Those of you trying for SB vaccines today.
Keep trying! Still appointments left. I just finished getting my parents in. As annoying as it was I kept logging back in instead of refreshing. I wasn’t easy but I was determined. Hoping this helps someone

I don’t have the link but I know NYS opened more sites today. My friend told me that Plattsburgh has appointments If I didn’t have one yet. It’s about 2 hours from me.

It should be the same website for all vaccine centers. They are all being run by the State. The Stony Brook site is not being run by Stony Brook, it's being run by the State.

Yeah, I thought that, too, but my mom gave me the link when you get past that page and that works fine. 
She’s trying, I’m trying and my dad can’t turn on a computer  .
Now the page says no more appointments.
This is crazy! They are contacting the people over 80 here and bringing the vaccine to them if they can’t go to get it. The rollout is slow here, though. But NY told people they are now eligible and there is not enough. What a mean thing to do to people!

Those of you trying for SB vaccines today.
I managed to luck out a few days ago with the NYC Health web site to secure my dad's vaccine appt tomorrow in South Bronx. I had to fill it out for him as he is 75 and does not understand English too well (both my parents have basically lived like hermits in south Queens). I had to scan his Medicare card and upload it to the site, and the first appt they gave me- I just clicked on it.
I've no idea what to expect tomorrow,I plan to go with him and stand on line for god knows how many hours to make sure he gets the shot. On another message board, some 60 year old woman posted she went w her 92 year old mother and managed to get the vaccine for herself as well as her mom by simply asking for it. Not sure how true that is, its clear some people are getting it who dont fit the categories of Group 1a, 1b but honestly I don't care because the more people get that vaccine, the closer we can get to reduced infection numbers and normalcy.

I got two appointments for March about an hour ago (4.30 AM EST January 16th— damn you timestamp!). So if you are up and reading this, there are appointments open.
My mom got past the “am i eligible link” and then gave me this one to try when I woke up this morning:
