Laundry question
What detergent does everyone use? We have a front loader- which I really, really hate. It gets a musty smell, I am constantly running a cycle with vinegar, clorox, or a cleaning tablet. It works, but only for awhile. A few people have told me powder detergent works better for a front loader. Right now we use Persil, and in the whites we use a scoop of oxiclean white revive. I don't use fabric softener. I am on amazon looking into powder detergents. But a lot of the powders are all natural, and get mixed reviews on how clean they get the clothes. If you have a front loader, what detergent to you use, and does your washer smell? TIA!

I don't have front loader but I also add vinegar. I wonder why front loader would smell more vs top load

I have a front loader and I use regular old Gain or Tide or whatever is on sale lol. Mine really only gets stinky when my DH accidentally leaves it closed (grrr).

Laundry question
Ours only gets stinky if the filter needs cleaning. I use All liquid detergent and run a load with bleach at least once a week. I also empty it soon after it's done and keep the door partly open.

Laundry question
We have a top loader and I use tide but I was actually going to ask the same question .
However I don’t get a smell l. But the only time the cover is closed is when a load is going.

Re: Laundry question
I use tide w bleach alternative in original scent and downy April fresh. I have for as long as I’ve done my own laundry.
I don’t have a front loader but I have seen on tik tok people showing videos of some sort of arm you can place in the door that leaves it open but it where you’ll bump into it. Maybe check Amazon? DH sometimes closes my washer and it will be a little stale smelling. I tell Him all the time to leave it open and it never smells like anything.

Laundry question
I use All Free and Clear but ours gets stinky too (it’s in a closet so DH is constantly closing the door and then complains there is mildew).
I am planning on replacing the front ring and being better about upkeep.
I think the front loader gets stinkier because the water sits in certain places. In a top loader, it’s traditionally open when not washing and the water drains more easily.

Laundry question
I keep the door and the detergent drawer open and never had an issue. As others said, if you close it all it never dries out/drains fully.
I have had mine a while (over 2 years) and only ran the cleaning cycle twice.

I use Tide pods but I also leave the door to the washer open all the time. No smell.

I was reading reviews for Charlie's and am considering ordering it. Do you feel it works? Most people love it. but a few reported dingy and smelly clothes. Thanks!!

I feel it’s excellent and love it! I hate strong scented detergents. I have 2 toddler boys who dig in the mud all day and have no issues with getting stains out. I also toss in a scoop of borax on heavy soiled laundry. So I feel that may give an extra boost! I never had an issues with smells on my clothes they actually smell good! I use wool dryer balls too with a drop of essential oils. I’m not an all natural person, in fact I clean my bathrooms daily with bleach but clothing wise my one son is so sensitive to detergents and this works perfectly for us!
