is anyone a writer that has copyrighted something?
working on something. just wondering about the process. i found legalzoom does it.

I used to research copyrights, but I've never registered something myself. Check out the Copyright office webpage https://www.copyright.gov/registration/

thanks! do you know if i can just go thru the .gov or should i use legalzoom too?

I guess it depends on what legal zoom is offering.
They might help with making sure you are choosing the right options, but you don't need a lawyer to register something on eCo. I used to work in publishing, and we had interns registering things. You do need to create an account, and there is usually a fee.
