Fireworks for the 4th
Tried to do a poll but not working:
Do you buy fireworks and have a show?
Do you go to someone’s house who buys fireworks and watch and/or help set off?
Do you just watch from your house?
Do you go to a place that sets off professional ones?

We have done all except had a show at home.
Still up in the air for this year. We have a get together on Saturday but not sure about Sunday yet. My husbands cousins always have fireworks so we might see who is having them this year. Hubby has off this year so even better as he had to go in last year just as it was getting dark so one of my kids and I watched a neighbor set them off.
We have gone to Ducks game years ago and have watched on tv years too.

Fireworks for the 4th
I hate fireworks.
I think I am the only one. I don't get the hype. Also my dogs get traumatized.
We do plan to go to a friends house and they have neighbors who set off a pretty impressive display so my kids will get to see some. I try not to let my grinchiness get in the way of their enjoyment.

We usually go to our yacht club for the day on the 4th and then sit out on the dock to watch the displays across the South Bay

Fireworks for the 4th
Done all of the above. Last year we did our place. This year we have our own and our friends have theirs. We will be setting them out Saturday and Sunday at their place. Can't wait.

Fireworks for the 4th
We've done all as well. The past couple years we've set off our own since our kids are little and go to bed pretty early. My neighborhood is pretty big on fireworks, so they're going to be going off all over starting Friday probably.

They have already started here like a month ago, almost every night. My poor dog is constantly under the table.

They have already started here like a month ago, almost every night. My poor dog is constantly under the table.
Here too
My older dog (15+ with a heart condition) is a disaster with them. He’s a little deafer these days but the people on my block and around the block think their last name is Grucci for the weeks before and after July 4th so it’s so loud he hears it. I start drugging him now once a day and then on the 4th, I do it 2x just to be safe. I hate it so much. I always fear the worst with his heart with every loud Boom

Aww that is so sad. It really is so bad for many dogs. My first dog couldn’t have cared less and they never bothered him. This one is scared of any loud noise.
