Goodie bags
Boys? Girls? Theme? I usually try to match up the goodie bag with the theme. Slime, Putty, Candy, Fidgets, Pop its, small craft kits, scrunchies/hair accessories. I have girls-- not great on boy gifts. lol

Re: Goodie bags
I usually give candy or some type of nice decorated cookie. I feel like I hate all the junk that builds up from goodie bags. I always feel bad just throwing it all out. Same thing with all of the little toys parents (including myself) send in for halloween.

Goodie bags
We have been giving (and getting) a small amount of candy and a gift certificate to a local ice cream place.

Candy, and maybe you can go top Wendy's and purchase the free frosty coupons and put one in each bag.

I have a girl and it's the first party we are throwing with her classmates. It will be a mix of boys and girls. No theme.

Goodie bags
My 8 year old loves those little toys that will eventually go in the trash and candy. I personally hate those type of goodie bags but they bring him joy so that’s what we usually do. I let him pick out the junk toys that he wants to give his friends lol

Goodie bags
We got one with the little puzzle pieces in the tube recently. I like the packaged snacks that I can throw in her backpack for school snack.
As an aside, DD has never gotten a goodie bag at a party in our neighborhood and no one has ever missed them.

Weird, right? There’s also no food and only a 50% chance of cake/cupcakes here. I always give goodie bags AND feed/sugar up the kids.
OP, aside from those puzzles, she’s also gotten popit keychains that she likes to put on her backpack (she’s 6).

There’s always food for the kids, but there’s a 50/50 chance that there is no food for the adults. Luckily my son is getting old enough to go to parties without a parent. Most parties he goes to only close friends are invited so I don’t understand how the parents can’t swing one pie for the adults lol. It’s so weird.
