Re: Not looking good...
I agree with the previous poster. At 5 weeks my numbers were 600 and I was told that was really high.. Also when you get into the higher numbers they don't double anymore.
I hope it works out for you

These are the norms for singleton pregnancies.
At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml. * At 15 DPO, the average HCG level is 59 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-147 mIU/ml. * At 16 DPO, the average HCG level is 95 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 33-223 mIU/ml. * At 17 DPO, the average HCG level is 132 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-429 mIU/ml. * At 18 DPO, the average HCG level is 292 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 70-758 mIU/ml. * At 19 DPO, the average HCG level is 303 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 111-514 mIU/ml. * At 20 DPO, the average HCG level is 522 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 135-1690 mIU/ml. * At 21 DPO, the average HCG level is 1061 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 324-4130 mIU/ml. * At 22 DPO, the average HCG level is 1287 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 185-3279 mIU/ml. * At 23 DPO, the average HCG level is 2034 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 506-4660 mIU/ml. * At 24 DPO, the average HCG level is 2637 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 540-10,000 mIU/ml.

Re: Not looking good...
That seems to be a really high number for 5-6 weeks. Typically the higher the numbers are, they start to slow down. With numbers that high, it sounds to me like you should closer to 8 weeks. Once the betas hit a certain point, they don't rise as much as they do in the very beginning.
At 5 weeks pregnant, my beta was 2836, at 6 weeks 4129.
ETA: With beta numbers that high, they should be able to do a sono and see something.

Re: Not looking good...
Just remember, they are basing the age of your pregnancy on your LMP, since there is no way to know for certain when you ovulated and conceived (unless you went through fertlity treatments). Beta numbers at 5-6 weeks pregnant are typically not as high as what you posted. It's very likely you ovulated later than you think and are a week or maybe two weeks further than they are saying.
The sonogram will tell the rest of the story. But like I said in my previous post, your beta number is very high for 5/6 weeks pregnant.

Re: Not looking good...
I would definitely speak to the doctor so that you can understand where your numbers should be.
They seem very high to me.

Thank you so much for looking this up for me by the way.
No problem. I think everyone is right. You may be further along and may have ovulated really early this month. Did you get a sono yet? Maybe this pregnancy is multiples?
I think you should call the doctor and confirm those numbers though. They sound odd for how far along you are.

I think I would call the office and talk to them about it - they will know better how to answer any questions - better than we can.
Please let us know what they say
