We've been married not quite 2 years, and we have the tree in its box, then 4 plastic totes with holiday decorations for xmas (1 of ornaments, 1 of lights, 1 of table decorations, and 1 of window and misc decorations that didn't fit in the other 3).

2 rubbermaid bins. i really don't like to overdo it decorating wise, and its very easy to do that at christmas.

I have 5 including the tree and wrapping paper rolls and such. Then I have about 15 more separate boxes that are my Xmas village houses.
