This girl faked a seizure today in my class.....
I couldn't believe it...I seriously didn't know what the hell she was doing! I went off on her...this was not the day to piss me off....AND especially since I witnessed my brother have several in my lifetime...it just really made me MAD

If she faked a seizure as an attention seeking behavior or to come up with a way out of doing work, I would be rather concerned for her emotional status. I see kids faking things all the time to get out of work but then again, I work in a psychiatric day treatment center and they have no control over their behaviors.
Just as an aside...My mother and her friends faked epileptic seizures in boarding school to freak out prospective students who came to visit the campus. I guess mom was a behavior case - the rebel!

I actually have a student with epilepsy and i am so nervous she will have one in my class - I would have flipped out on that girl for faking one too - it is soooo not something to joke about - she def has some sort of underlying issues

When I was in highschool a girl in my piano class had 2 seizures right in front of me and I didn't know what I was looking at because they were petty mal seizures and they were nothing like I assumed they would be.
After seeing that, and having seen grand mal seizures as well (my best friend's brother had them) I think you'd have to be a damn good actress to pull one off convincingly...
What was her father's reaction?

no b/c if i did i would probably smack them upside the head. seizures are NOT a joking matter. my best friends sister died during a seizure, so i am sorry but i cant find the humor in it

I saw a kid in 6th grade fake one b/c it was April Fool's Day. It was really scary and not funny at all and the teacher was really upset.

I don't know what you have seen, but in my experience it's not funny at all...I think it's alarming and scary.
