12 week olds - eating/sleeping

DS will be 12 weeks old tomorrow. For those with babies around that age, I'm interested in knowing what their daily sleeping schedule is like (ie, when naps, how many hours sleeping daily, when to bed for night, when wakes in morning). I wouldn't mind knowing about formula intake as well, but I imagine that varies more depending on the baby's size. Thanks!

My DS is 12 weeks old today Chat Icon

His schedule is something like this, but still varies..he's not too good on the schedule thing lol.

bed around 10-11pm.
wake up to feed around 3-330am.
wake up again around 630am.
up for the day by 8am.
nap around 930am.
wake up at 12-1230pm.

From then on he naps every 1.5-2 hours, and feeds about every 3. He's is taking approx. 4 oz of breastmilk, sometimes a little less.

I feel like he sleeps too much, especially when I see other babies schedules, but from what I read, they should sleep 12-15 hours at this age, and not be awake for more than 2 hours at a time, so I guess DS is right on target with that.

Thanks. I just like to see what others are doing in comparison to my DS. I guess it's not so different, except he drinks way more!

Re: 12 week olds - eating/sleeping

DD is 11.5 weeks old:

between 8:30-9:00pm - Bath/bottle/bed - She's usually in her crib no later than 10pm.

Wakes up anywhere between 6-8am for a bottle - usually averages around 7am.

goes back to sleep until around 10-10:30am

bottle/get dressed/play. I will usually go out with her at this point, or if I can't get out, she will hang in her swing and take a cat nap for about 30 minutes or so.

2 or 2:30pm - bottle, down for a nap by 3pm. She will usually nap until 5:30-6:15ish.

bottle/cuddle time/play/read books. By 7:30ish she is in the swing and will take another cat nap for about 20 minutes.

She gets 5oz of formula at each bottle. Once in a while she'll take 6 or 7oz during one feeding, but that's rare.

Re: 12 week olds - eating/sleeping

Jake is 14 weeks today, but this is pretty close to where he was 2 weeks ago:

7:30-8:30 - wakes and bottle, 6.5oz

Naps around 10am for 40-50 mins.

11am - 6.5 oz bottle.

Naps around 12:30. This is his longest nap as he can go about 2 hours

2-3pm (depends on last nap) 6.5 oz bottle.

Takes another nap - 40 mins to and hour - fussiest part of the day.

6:00ish - 6.5oz bottle

8:00-9:00 - last nap

9:30ish - last bottle - 7oz

10:30ish - bed, and sleeps until 7:30-8:30.

So, its 5 bottles a day, followed by a diaper chage, some activity, and then nap.

total daily oz intake = 33oz.

Re: 12 week olds - eating/sleeping

DD is 13 weeks.

I dont really pay attention to her "naps" because I am almost always out and about. She does take a longer nap in the afternoon.

This is pretty much her day as far as feeding

She drinks about 6 oz.

6/630- bottle

10-bottle

2-bottle

530-bottle

8-bottle/bed
