If it's pricey, I wouldn't do it at that age but what do I know! Chat Icon

DS has been going to gym class since he was 14 months old. He loves it! He likes to hang from the bars and likes to tumble at home.

I say enroll her.

I did gymnastics last fall with DS. He was 21 months when we started. It was $65 a month.

We did it for a few months it was fun but its alot of work for the parent too. Trying to keep them somewhat focused on the task and instructions wasnt easy. And then most of the stuff they are too little to do on their own so you are doing alot of lifting/flipping the kids etc.

I stopped after 4 months and decided to wait until he was old enough for the solo class before trying again.

not worth is for me... i enrolled DD#1 in a gymboree gym class somewhere between 18 and 24 months and it was perfect for what i expected/wanted. i then got sucked into a super expensive dance class when she was 2 1/2 and that was a TOTAL waste! Chat Icon

she now attends the local rec dance class for under what just the costume cost at the dance studio. if she ever expresses more interest when older i can see going to a studio, but not anytime soon...

i wanted to send her to gymnastics at a gymnasium, but the schedule for the fall was crappy. i could have gotten by at the local Y or similar venues for a another year, but decided on dance again to start... DD#1 is 4.
