18 month old with sleeping issues
Ds was a horrible sleeper as an infant and right around 13 months he just switched. I was able to get him to put himself to sleep at night at for naps, he was waking up around 730 take a nap at 1130 for around 2 hours and go to bed at 730. For the last month he has just progressively gotten worse still going to bed at 730 but waking several times in the middle of the night, waking at all times in the morning napping for maybe an hour. I'm at a loss I just don't know what to do . Has anyone had experience with this or any info that can help
TIA

Re: 18 month old with sleeping issues
I don't have any suggestions but I can commisurate with you
My DD is 19 months old and still wakes up anywhere between 1-7x per night and it would probably be more except that we end up bringing her in bed with us finally
Neither me or DH pass the CIO class

Re: 18 month old with sleeping issues
Comiserating here as well.
DS was a terrible sleeper as an infant as well. Finally did CIO at 8 months, and he did great until about 13 months. DS will be 18 months in a few weeks, and he has been waking up 2-3 x's a night and the only way he will go back to sleep is if I lay down next to him. I am pregnant with DC # 2 and just couldn't hack getting up whenever he cried anymore so I just started laying down with him in our spare bedroom and he would go right back to sleep.
He isn't THAT bad for napping, but he will nap for 3 hours if I am laying next to him but only 1 hour if I am not.
I am royally screwed because DH works overnights, and I am due with DC #2 in 3 weeks and I have this feeling that I am really never ever going to sleep again.
eta: I am actually considering consulting a sleep specialist, and if I do, I will let you know what happens!

Re: 18 month old with sleeping issues
I have wanted to look into a sleep trainer since DS was a baby but DH thinks that is ridiculous to hire someone to teach him to sleep but he is not the one who gets up with him Please let me know how it goes!
