Idk if this was for me but in no way was I offended. Just answering your question and what I did with my child.

I didn't get offended. I rolled my eyes bc I thought your response was irrelevant, inflammatory, and useless.

I'm not really looking forward to an added chore of packing lunch every day - but I'm going to do it the first few days and see what he prefers.
If he wants to buy, I'm all for it Chat Icon
If he would rather I pack it, I'll do that, of course.

I plan to do the same.

It was hard enough for me to feed the boys, get dressed and look semi decent and get the boys to preschool.

Now I have to leave 30 min earlier, drop off the boys at separate schools and pack a snack daily for K son. I actually hope he likes school lunch so I don't have to pack lunch everyday. We got the lunch menu and I think he would like the school lunch about 75% of the time. We'll see how it goes.

At our school the teachers ask that the Kindergarteners bring lunch for at least the first few days while they get used to going to the cafeteria, the routine, etc.

This is what we were told as well. I will be packing lunch for DS.

This as well when DD started kindergarten last year.

As far as not having enough time to finish, that did happen with DD but after talking to her about it, I realized she was spending too much time talking to her friends and not eating.
