1st bday party lua or surf theme
Any crafty girls wanna help me with some ideas?
DH and I think (from someone's suggestion in another post when I asked about themes) we're going to do a Surfer/Lua theme 1st bday party for DS in July.
Saw some cute websites, but looking for any more ideas.

beach balls
cute Hawaii shirt for the boys
little surf boards
any other ideas for decorations or ideas?

I love the surf/sailboat theme. If you need any help making any of that stuff I can help and I also know a cake lady that is really reasonable for that sailboat cake.

We did a luau theme for my dd's 1st bday.
I got a ton of decorations from the Oriental Trader and (i think) im May Party City puts out all their summer stuff like that too.
You can prob get ideas from those two places also

Except when he's drunk! He's not allowed to hold the cake! 
I know you're probably so swamped right now, but as it gets closer to the summer hopefully you're settled and I may use you for help. Loved it when DH brought home some of your cookie samples.

I did a luau for my DD 1st Bday. I had tiki faces, pink flamingos. I chose the colors fuchsia & orange (was going to be our wedding colors if we had done a destination wedding). But for a boy I'd do blue & aqua.
I've seen watermelons cut into a shark & filled with fruit.
Fishing net over tables
Grass skirts around tables.
Come summer you will find TONS of decor.
I made a cake with cookie flip flops all around the sides, water & "sand" for top & a message in bottle
Hawaii shirts
Leis
Umbrellas for the drinks
