1st day of daycare so far...
We dropped dd off around 9:30 It was a bit crazy becouse most get dropped off earlier and the teachers where putting them all in the big stroller to go for a walk to the playground it was quite cute!
One of the teaches took dd right away. I unpacked her stuff, dh made up her crib, dd went into the stroller next to another little girl and they were off!
No long goodbyes not even a kiss but it was better that way. DH and I watched through a window and hid as they came back in. (We figured it would be better for her not to see us) Then we watched through the tv...she was just crawling around playing with the toys so far so good
As far as me so far...I dont know what to do with myself...I had planned to go to my office but dh came with me to drop her off so I decided to stay home and clean...the house is so quite and I feel lost... I just called there to check in and let them know that dd doesn't hold her bottle. They said she was good, in her crib but having a hard time napping so far. I said I don't heard her crying so I guess all is good...the teacher did inform me that she was a little upset before but is ok now... **deep sigh**
DH works nights and normally doesn't get up until 6/7pm but today he wants to get up early (even though he went to bed really late) so he can come pick her up with me...he's such a good daddy

That's great that the drop off went so well! It'll take some getting used to but it sounds like she will be just fine!
And that's so cute of your husband. I think sometimes my DH wants to try and get home first so he can pick up DS!

Sounds like you're doing great
My DD's first day of daycare is in a few weeks....it'll be part time but I'll still be sad that first day, but your post is giving me some hope...that it'll be ok and life will go on

Re: 1st day of daycare so far...
It'll get better. She'll soon have her fav teachers and feel even more comfy. Mason has been going to daycare since 3 months. He's 14 months now and when I drop him off he knows the routine... goes to his fav morning teacher for hugs and kisses then whines for a bottle so he goes in his highchair for his milk. I usually leave when he gets his milk b/c he's distracted. I peek in once and he's usually fine and happy.
