1st foods...brands rec, and question
How did you "choose" which brand and kind of food to give DC? I bought apples and banannas and had a very hard time in Target picking out which one....
Gerber makes Nature Select and 100% Organic...and then some other kind...what are the differences?
Earth's Best is the rice that I give him...
Also, if you buy Earth's Best one week, can you buy whatever brand you like, after that, or is it like with formula, that you stick with one brand?
Thank you!

I try whatever is on sale
Started doing all Earth's Best then got Gerber b/c of the sales. DS pretty much will try anything as long as it's sweet

Re: 1st foods...brands rec, and question
I choose strictly by price. I'm on a budget and found beech nut to be the cheapest. I found Walmart & Pathmark to have the best prices. Also, Sam's Club has a gerber box which was cheap too.
We skipped stage 1 since DS did a LOT better with stage 2. I started early (at around 3.5 months). We started with fruits & veggies, then moved up to combos and such and eventually the meals.
He started rice/oatmeal at 10 weeks and I always got the gerber because of price.
I'm not an organic mommy. I actually was surprised learning that Earth's Best is made at the Gerber plants anyway.

Re: 1st foods...brands rec, and question
I get mostly earth's best but I have bought some gerber(when I was in a store that didn't have as much of a selection of EB's and I wanted her to try things she didn't have yet). I also have some gerber and beechnut that my SIL gave me that she had left over from nephew and I have been slowly using that up too. It is not like formula that you have to stick to one brand. Oh and I made avocado's once-I don't think I have seen these jarred-just mashed it with a spoon and added some formula.
