1st Hair cut locations in Eastern Nassau/Western Suffolk
Could you recommend a place for a 1st hair cut?
EJ is MAJORLY overdue.
One where they have a certificate, etc...
What price range am I looking at?

We took both kids to Zippity Doos in Merrick for their first. I think it was $25-$30ish. We've been there 3 or 4 times.
Recently took Andy to the new place in Sunrise Mall Massapequa. I want to say $12, but might be $15.
Andy is one of those kids who flips out around strangers. So the whole time they are cutting his hair he's trying to get out, screaming, crying, he and I are both covered in snot and hair by the time it's done. IMO the hairdressers at Zippity Doos are better at handling those kinds of kids. They somehow manage to get a good cut quickly with him all over the place.
The guy in Sunrise Mall did a nice job, but it took about 2x as long as Zippity Doos and to be honest my nerves were shot by the end. So until Andy relaxes we'll be going to Zippity Doos.

Vincent Bruce in Dix Hills used to do kids cuts...I forget exactly how much it was..Im sure they still do them (but Im not sure)

We go to Zippity Doos in Huntington. Ask for Christine...she's great. Diane is great also.
