And this is the problem. You believe that this is a factual, unbiased news source. When all it is, is a 501c group that feeds in to your feelings of superiority and racism.
And you don't give a flying f @ck about vets and homelessness...you just don't want brown people coming in to this country because you are a racist!
It is very sad. Nobody ever mentions the European people who are living here illegally. I wonder why? Could it be that Europeans are white
Maybe they don't mention them because it is only 6%, while Mexico and Central America is at 68%.
https://www.migrationpolicy.org/data/unauthorized-immigrant-population/state/US
Who cares what percentage of them are from Mexico and Central America? I guarantee you if 68% of them were from Europe, nobody would say a word. People don't want minorities coming into this country. It is disgusting how racist this country is.

I guess they aren't taking beds away from the homeless veterans the way those from the Americas are.

Funny is that in 2018, Asians arriving outnumbered Mexican https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/08/20/key-findings-about-u-s-immigrants/ft_2020-08-20_immigrants_04b/. Link

I don't believe anyone should be here illegally, from any part of the world. I was just giving the information on why maybe people don't talk about European immigrants and why the focus is on Mexico and Central America, which was the question that was asked.

Guess so....
Illegal alien definition, a foreigner who has entered or resides in a country unlawfully or without the country's authorization.
Asylum seekers have not entered this country illegally.
Yes. But it has been pointed out before that the US has specific procedures set in place to claim asylum. Trump set forth a very clear message to any potential migrants that the trip to the US is dangerous and costly and asylum can be claimed from the home country. Biden is basically waving everyone in with his open door policy and all bets are off. Asylum is also claimed at a POE and not in between, which is why Border Patrol is so often involved.
You can’t apply for asylum from the home country. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2018/jul/10/raul-labrador/no-immigrants-cannot-apply-asylum-us-embassies-or-/

Funny as I have family who are “brown” who came into this country so not sure how I would be racist. But then again, they did it the right way.

Yes. You are correct and I misspoke-my attention was divided when I was posting. My point is that are other paths to entering this country legally AND asylum occurs at a POE. It is not legal asylum when a BP agent apprehends an individual crossing the border.

Definition of illegal alien/immigrant: a foreign person who is living in a country without having official permission to live there.

I happen to agree.
When ex-husband flew over to NY so that we could get married (I was still undergoing my visa process for Australia and would fly back after the wedding when my visa allowed me), he made the mistake of answering a question incorrectly at the border. They asked what he would be doing here for the 2 months that he was staying there. He said “I’m getting married.” The border guard was like you should not have said that to me. Still they let him through. I’m going to guess if he was from somewhere else, he would have had a very different experience.
My experiences of being residents in two countries have been very easy compared to what I have seen others (minorities) go through.
This is all anecdotal, but I believe race has a lot to do with it.
ETA: I get different bias (Eastern European) here because my surname is not “American” sounding even though I am American and do not speak the language of my surname at all. I also do not look Eastern European, but rather Southern European, so I get that bias as well. It’s frustrating. That’s going off-topic, but I imagine it’s easier than if I were from somewhere else.

Why should he not have said that? So many are on the 90 day visa to get married, hence the show 90 day fiancé.

That’s for the K1 visa. He came over on a tourist visa. He had no intentions of becoming a resident or citizen. Coming over on a tourist visa and saying you are getting married is a big no-no. It happens, sure. It probably makes the visa process easier because then you apply for a spouse visa and not a K1, which is what happened with my Australian visa. Originally I was doing the fiancée visa in Australia and I had to change it to a spouse visa. Doing a spouse visa is much, much easier logistically and financially.
We got married in NY because of a few different reasons.
