Re: 2017 Spring Shred

Love the idea of posting workouts for the week... great way to stay motivated and make a plan. So I'll play too!

Sunday - Stronglifts 5x5, yard work, and 10k steps

Monday - rest day - 10k steps
(AF due - ate all the food - lots of fats and carbs is all I wanted...made for an interesting dinner... Chat Icon)

Tuesday - It was suppose to be a Heavy Bag workout day, but I opted for a quick 20 HIIT, with 10k+ steps.
I swear it takes 20 mins alone for me to wrap my hands and time was short this morning.

Wednesday - Stronglifts 5x5, 10k steps

Thursday - Heavy Bag or 20min HIIT, 10k steps

Friday - Stronglifts 5x5, 10k steps

Saturday - we'll be away, so definitely 10k steps, possibly a light run

Sunday - hiking, 10k steps (Stronglifts 5x5 day, but we'll be away, so we're hoping to makeup this workout Monday night)

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

I've been doing pretty well. 3 weeks on weight watchers and I've lost 4 lbs total. I have to confess, during these last 3 weeks, I didn't track and went off the plan on the weekend. Especially this past weekend. Friday night, Saturday night AND Sunday was Easter so - yea. I ate everything in site lol

But got right back on track Monday morning.

Friday is my weigh in, I'm hoping to at least stay the same.

Today I went to the gym. 30 min elliptical. Used one of their pre program workouts. Then lifted heavy. Just biceps and triceps. I plan on scrubbing the bathrooms and washing all the floors. That's usually a good calorie burner !

2017 Spring Shred

How's everyone doing?

I'm contemplating getting a blueprint for IIFYM. I'd really like to look toner especially in my midsection and I know that's going to require a slight shift in my eating which I think iifym could do for me. Other than that, I'm excited about the progress I'm seeing in my shoulders and glutes.

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

I gained .8 lbs this past week. Easter weekend was a killer!! So I'm kinda glad it was just the .8

I've been great with tracking and daily exercise since Fridays weigh in.

Halo top ice cream is a new addiction. Tonight I tried the chocolate mocha chip. 1/2 cup for 3 smart points and it really satisfied my sweet craving. Next flavor on my list is oatmeal cookie lol if you haven't tried it, I suggest you do!

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

I got sick last week and totally fell off, didn't even exercise. Back on my grind today but I gained about 5lbs. I feel like my body is so difficult. I plan on working out 4-5 days this week.

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

Crazy week.... had a herniated disc flare up last week so I dropped my weights down, but have continued working out. Dropped doing Barbell Rows since they seem to put too much strain on my lower back. I increased my mobility exercises too and have been seeing a difference. After being unable to walk and have limited movement after the last flare up I'm so happy that I didn't screw around this time!

Just finished a great StrongLifts workout with DH. Took a strong pre workout and seriously want to just run around the neighborhood to work it off. Times like this a desk job is not good. Chat Icon

For the week I'm still focusing on 10k/day, StongLifts, a HIIT workout or two, and Yoga.

It's amazing how IIFYM just melts the fat and reshapes the body! I know they've been running specials for the BluePrint. The other alternative which is a little cheaper and more customize and a coach is the coaches I told you about in the group. They're both great to work with.

Thank you! I know I don't have a ton to lose, but it's still not easy. I lost about 50+ on WW about 16 years ago. I gained back about 15lb the last couple of years and while I was tracking in MFP and working out daily, I just was not getting a handle on it. Also while I thought I was eating pretty clean before, I realized on WW that there was definitely room to clean up more! I also do better having the accountability of weighing in and attending meetings. Figured I better get back in control now!

Thank you, I actually only ended up working out for two days last week. This week I'm back on it!

Tuesday - kickboxing & mind body fitness class
Wednesday - cardio dance class
Thursday (today) - on my way to kickboxing

I've been eating salads and green smoothies this week. Monday was my birthday and I went off the rails with a burger and ice cream.Chat Icon

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

Down 2 lbs this week!! For a total of 6.4 lbs in 6 weeks on weight watchers.
I've had holiday meals, weekend celebrations and some "I just need to eat this" days. And I'm still losing! Slowly. But losing.

I lost about 18 on my own and stalled. Which is why I started WW.

9.6 lbs to my final goal.

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

So my eating wasn't the best last week but I did go to the gym on Saturday (40min on elliptical). That makes 4 days last week atleast.

Re: 2017 Spring Shred

Still working out 3x week with Stronglifts 5x5. I had to drop the weight and perfect my form - I feel the workout so much more. It's quite amazing.

Weightlifting is the main focus still, but so is 10k steps a day being I have a "sit on your butt" office job.

Yoga 1x week is a must. More for mental - it's a Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra class. I seriously leave there "high". Chat Icon

If I get time I toss in one 20 min HIIT workout, but for the most part my heart rate is raised while lifting, so it's not necessary.

I've been working on my mobility every day sometimes 2x day. It's been doing wonders for my workouts and just my body overall. Specifically my herniated discs.

Upped my cals/macros to support my workouts.

I've never been happier!

I'm down 22 lbs since the end of Feb., doing WW. I really like the program and it works! I am also running - doing 3.5 miles, 3-4 x's per week. Have to start adding in some strength training soon. Have some things going on this week, but will hopefully add that in next week.
