Mommy Confessions....
I confess that:
I don't care if Ava comes in contact with germs. I don't put a shopping cart cover on and I don't always put a placemat down in a retaurant. Of course, if it looks nasty I do, but for the most part, I don't worry about germs. I think they help our immune systems get stronger.
I forget to give Ava her vitamins like 3 days a week.
I gave Ava tylenol at bedtime every, single night for two weeks when her molars were coming in.
I burnt Ava's tongue last week when I gave her oatmeal that was too hot
Ok, the burden of those things has been lifted. Add yours

Re: Mommy Confessions....
I totally agree with the germs thing
Even though I really love my time in the evenings with DS, I am guilty of parking him in front of Jack's Big Music Show while I eat my dinner and do a couple of quick chores so I can relax after he goes to sleep.
I don't scream at the dog if she licks his face
I am sure there are like 40 more, but those were just tonights

thanks for confessing. Josh has one coming in and I haven't slept in 8 days. I gave him tylenol tonight. But, when he wakes, if he wakes...do I give it again at let's say 3 AM?
here's mine: I am embarassed to say how many times my baby has rolled off the bed. At bedtime, I nurse while laying with him. Sometimes I fall asleep before him and then I wake to a bang. We are 2 months and counting since the last fall.
Tonight, I took his dry diaper off, put him in the bath, then put it back on. I went back and forth with it, then just did it.
I turned his walking toy in the car yesterday, I needed a break from flipping it around when he hits a wall. He kept trying to figure out how to make it a walker again.

Re: Mommy Confessions....
I hit DS's head (lightly) on the shelf above the changing table when I was lifting him off of it He cried but just for a second. It was just a light tap but I felt horrible!

Re: Mommy Confessions....
Completely agree with your germ theory.
I will add:
I am a screaming mom. I hate that about myself but I am. Definitely working on it.
I had to stifle a smile when Joseph stole Maddie's meatballs off of her pizza & she whacked him in the head for it. I love that she's learning how to stand up for herself - even if it means she's hitting her brother.
My kids have skipped brushing their teeth more times than I care to admit.
Even though I yelled about it, I thought it was genius that Joseph stuck his head into the refrigerator so he wouldn't get caught eating the Cool Whip. If he was only genius enough to wipe it off his nose, he would have been in the clear.
As much as I feel bad for DH when they fight over how gets to sit next to me & who gets stuck next to Daddy, I love- love-love that I'm the favorite.

Re: Mommy Confessions....
i confess that sometimes i would rather be at work.
i confess that it is mostly my fault that DD is so spoiled, but she is just so cute that sometimes i cant help it.
i confess that i say/do the same things my mom said/did to me when i was a kid even though i vowed i never would.
i confess that i actually like when DD sleeps in my bed because i love to cuddle with her and watch her sleep.
i confess that i still to this day, 4 years after her birth, check on DD to make sure she is ok/still breathing in the middle of the night.
i confess that i just really never knew what it felt like to worry about your child even though i thought my mom was just being paranoid when i was a kid.
wow, i could go on forever with these.. lol

I totally agree with the cart cover I never use it anymore. My dogs lick my DD face, actually she runs over to them & gives them open mouth kisses I'm also guilty off changing DD diapers in the back seat of my truck while out shopping

Same here for the above.
Lately I have a very short fuse and today I got angry and Sarah started to cry and yelled at me to stop. I feel like the worst mom ever.

Re: Mommy Confessions....
here's another:
I never get up to see if my kid is breathing in the middle of the night. Once I am asleep, that's it. You could not pay me to go near that crib and chance waking him up.
When Josh "talks" to my mother on the phone...she gets upset if he is quiet. So this resulted in me pushing the buttons on the phone, they get a kick out of it thinking it's Josh.
I don't have a shopping cart seat cover, not really because I don't believe in them...more so the fact that I think it picks up germs, then the germs are in my car near my stroller. I feel like its dragging around a germy piece of clothing.
Same with the changing table pads...I never want to put the pad down on that gross table then stick it back in my diaper bag with his clean stuff. I just change him in the stroller or would rather go out to the car. If I really need to change him, I put paper towels down.

Germs? What germs? Nuff said...
I confess that the pacifier has fallen on the floor and I have used my mouth to "Clean it"..
I confess that I hide just out of Noahs view in the mornings so he will go back to sleep b/c once he see's me its all over, hes up. I have even stooped down and inched out of his sight to go to the bathroom without being seen.
I let the Dog lick him.

Re: Mommy Confessions....
I confess that I wish Baby Einstein was about 15 minutes longer so that I can get a little bit more "me" time first thing in the morning.
There are times when I feel like I am so frustrated that working at my hellish job in the city seemed like the easiest thing in the world compared to being a SAHM.
I look at him and just cry. Tears just well up in my eyes for no reason at all. Just because I don't think I ever really knew what it felt to love someone until he came along. The kind of love that just hurts.
Sometimes my DH will barely make it out of his car before I am passing Jack off to him.
The other night I had Jack on the floor doing tummy time and Molly (the dog) was laying next to him which NEVER happens. HE had really baggy pants on him from the Gap. I was washing dishes but would go into the living room every minute or so to make sure he was ok. Molly had taken his pants off somehow and had them in her mouth. Instead of getting mad at her I was cracking up and basically called every family member I have to tell them.
