bleeding and freaking out! *Update on Pg 3*
Ok, I've had the brown yuck discharge but I had bright red bleeding tonight and I'm completely FREAKING!!!!! The MD on call said to call my doctor's office in the morning and ask for a sono- I'm tempted to go to the ER tonight.. I'm really scared DH is away and I'm totally alone.

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
It's my first pregnancy so I would probably freak out as well and go to the ER.

If your that worried or the bleeding doesn't stop or gets worse and you start to have bad cramping, I would head over to the hospital tonight!

Oh, Laura, I'm so sorry you're going through something so scarey when your husband's away. Do what you feel is best, but if you decide to go to the ER make sure that you have someone to go with you. Feel better & good luck

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
I don't know anyone close here. DH is canceling his flight tomorrow and driving home tonight.. The doctor that called me back didn't make a big deal out of it- she said that if it gets worse to go to the ER (right now it's just bright red tinging on tissue paper) I have little cramps but nothing out of the "norm". She just seemed very nonchalant about it and said to call my OB in the morning for a sono.
I'm laying in bed with my knees all pressed together like it's going to prevent this baby from falling out.

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
I would wait until DH comes home to morrow and immediatley head to the dr. Just say your prayers tonight and so will we.
There is nothing that the ER can do for you except give you an answer. But do you want to be without DH? I know you don't. Good thing is that ur not in pain. Hang tight.

Sometimes woman who are due for there period around that time of month, do get some bleeding that is normal, if your cramps do get worse, or the bleeding gets heaver, I would go to the ER tonight!! Try to stay postitve!!

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
I just wanted to add, just because I suggested going to the ER, I dont mean to add to your worry and to freak you out. I really dont think you have much to worry about, bleeding is very normal.

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
I am sorry you are going through this. I know what your are feeling, I had this with my first pregnancy (I have a healthy 15 month old) and with this current pregnancy (the MDs think I miscarried a twin...I bled heavily and passed large clots...and the bleeding lasted a month; we still have one baby with a strong heartbeat growing each day).
The fear and horrible feeling in your gut that runs through your body when you see that blood is just horrible.
The first time this happened to me with my son, I just completely broke down, and was sure that I was going to miscarry.
When I called the MD, they were also not very worried because I had no cramping and the blood was not very heavy. This happens to a lot of women who go on to have healthy babies.
Of course, whenever there is bleeding during pregnancy, there is cause for concern, but things can also work out, so don't loose hope.
I pray that when you get your sono. you will see your baby with a healthy heartbeat.
I am so sorry you are going through this. Please FM me if you want to talk

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
Try to be calm and relax.
Like another said, there isn't much the ER can do anyway, so wait for DH and go to your OB tomorrow.

Re: bleeding and freaking out!
I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through. Your DH will be home soon and will be with you. Try to sleep now or watch tv to distract you a bit. I wouldn't research things online, it will only add to your stress.
Blood can be very normal. But I understand why you are scared. The ER can't do anything for you, your body will take its course. I would wait for your DH and go to your OB tomorrow. Your OB would have told you to come in right away if they were alarmed. Its so scary for all of us going through it, but your OB sees this a lot. If they are worried, you should try to stay calm.
I'm so sorry for what you're going through!
