22.5 weeks... no kicking? Thoughts?
I have been patiently awaiting the kicks of my baby boy to be. I am 22.5 weeks and STILL haven't felt him. Yes, its my first child and no, I'm not 85 pounds in my non-prego state. But shouldn't I have felt him by now???

I would call the doctor and ask if you have antrieor placenta, that makes it hard to feel the baby.

Not sure how much you weigh, but I was a plus sized mama to be and did not feel DD#1 until I was about 24 weeks. I'd give the OB a call and ask about placental placement.

It can be totally normal. I didnt feel DS until 23 weeks and I didnt have an anterior placenta, just how DS was facing most of the time.

I am pretty sure I was not feeling the baby then at all at that time and not for weeks later. I had some posts about it you can look up. I have an anterior placenta which is why I couldnt feel anything. I am average weight for my height.

Thanks ladies! Much appreciated. I am going to the ob this afternoon to find out what the deal is. I am sure everything is fine- maybe I'm just not feeling him because I don't know what to look for? I'll ask about that anterior placenta, thanks!!

Re: 22.5 weeks... no kicking? Thoughts?
my friend was about 23 or 24 weeks when she finally felt it. she doesnt have an anterior placenta (as far as we know) and she was like 100lbs prepregnancy!! so i guess some just feel it later than others (i felt mine consistently about 20w). i would call the dr. if you are concerned. good luck!

I still haven't felt DD#2. I have anterior placenta though. I didn't feel Brooke until 23 weeks or so.

Saw doc last night, all is well- heartbeat is strong @ 140. She said its perfectly okay that I haven't felt anything. And then actually today, I THINK I felt little air bubbles a handful of times- or that could just be wishful thinking! Thanks girls

I didn't feel anything until about 24 weeks either - no anterior placenta either. im not skinny pre preggo, but not entirely fat either glad to hear your dr said everything is ok. Sometimes we just need that bit of reassurance that everything is still normal!
