I'm having them now at 31 weeks, but definitely not at 24. You may be dehydrated. If they keep up, I would bring it up to your OB.

As an L&D nurse I've seen too many women blow off real contractions as braxton hicks. If they are painful enough to keep you up at night then you should be letting your dr know what's going on.

I started getting them as early as 14 weeks. Just be careful because even if they're only BH, you shouldnt be getting more than 6 -8 in an hour. Drink plenty of water and lay down. If they dont stop within an hour then call your OB.

I experienced this around the same time - definitely up your water intake - it is probably dehydration.

No matter what the contractions feel like (BH or cramps) if you have 6 or more in an hour you should call your OB.

your stomach jsut gets really tight and pointy..u can see it shift positions..and its very uncomfortable not painful

I am almost 24 weeks, and my md asked me yesterday at my appt if i am feeling tightness or cramps. I said no tightness but cramps sometimes. He said i will be starting to notice them on a more consistant basis and that when it happens to drink a lot of water!
