i signed up for the hicksville one. no eval, but she did ask me to come in person to register. i went, and she was in a class already, so she just asked me to leave a the voucher and our names & ds's DOB.

they combined the 6mos to 4 years (which i was kinda bummed about), and the classes there are friday's at 11am and Sunday's, not sure what time.

Thanks so much.

My DD just turned 4; not sure if she'd fall into the above group.

Looking forward to this though.

We did the sunday one. I didn't love the instructor - her name was brittney. This was for last session though!

I called before I purchased and was given this info as well. TBH I don't think it's right b/c that's not what I thought I was buying (which was a 6- 18 months class). I called with a different question and just found this out- so otherwise I would have made the purchase unknowing. The teacher-student ratio is also greatly changed.

I know $27 bucks is cheap but I decided against it. My son is a little guy and the last time we ended up in a "mixed" class b/c not enough people signed up (this was Thinketots) I ended up disliking the environment.

I signed DS up (he's 4) for the Deer Park one.
No Eval.
She said come in the first day (next week) with the voucher.
He'll be in the "Pre-K" group (ages 3-5) with a 4:1 ratio.

I explained to her, he's never had lessons and needs to even learn breathing in the water. She said this is the class for him.
All basic skills.

Hope it goes well. If we really really like it and they are reasonable, I may just sign him up again for the next session when this one ends. We'll see!

I bought one - thanks for posting about it! DH and I had been talking about signing DS up again for swim. We signed him up last year and paid $200 for 8 or 10 classes, I forget which. But we missed at least 2 which we were not allowed to make up. This is WAY more affordable, although more inconvenient in terms of location since we're in Queens. I figure for the price we can make it work.

I've called NYSC and left a message to see what we need to do.

Re: $27.50 for 5 Swim Lessons @ NYSC

We signed DD up on Sunday in Hicksville. The lady said she was the last one. I said aren't there other times & she said no.

If when we go it's more than 4:1 & different age groups; I will definitely send in a complaint/call corporate & said this isn't the deal you advertised.

I know for $27. you can't go wrong; but it's the principle.
