2nd birthday party dilemma!

I want to have a 2nd birthday party for DD with her friends. Here are my choices:

a) weekday party at our house with her friends and their mommies- pizza, cake, and hire someone for some entertainment.

b) weekday party at woodkingdom (hour and a half) however it would be a split party with her cousin (they are a week apart). Is this odd- to do a double birthday friend party??? we would have to tell our friends to only buy for DD and my brother would have to tell his friends to buy for his son.

Re: 2nd birthday party dilemma!

Personally, I find #2 too complicated unless they are the best of friends. I'd opt for #1.

I would do the weekday party. I would want DC to have his own special party.

I think a weekend party at home sounds best :)

Option A. I would avoid the joint party.

Option A. Personally, I don't like doing joint birthday parties for little kids, they want their special day. Also, it would probably involve more coordination and might get big--for young children, I do think smaller is better. Most seem to get overwhelmed otherwise, but you know your child and what will work and willnot.

I see nothing wrong with option 2-I wouldnt even tell people when you invite them, i mean family would know...other people wont even realize till cake time...LOL
