2nd stimulus package
Has anyone heard if they have approved a second round of stimulus checks? My son said he heard that we are all getting another $1200 but I have not seen anything definite.

That would be nice. Just found out my health insurance is going up $110 a month to almost $700. That could help cover the increase!

A second package has been suggested, but they won't even start discussing it seriously until July according to what I've read.

With a lot of people going back to work (retail, hair salons, etc) I wonder if they'll even approve it.

Aren't those the ones that were mailed as a Debit Card? I thought that was the second round? DH got $800 last week in a debit card.We didn't get money the first round.

No that was still part of the first round. The debit cards went out to people that they didn’t have direct deposit info for. We got the debit card the first week of June with the full $2400.

No that was still part of the first round. The debit cards went out to people that they didn’t have direct deposit info for. We got the debit card the first week of June with the full $2400.
Thank you for clarifying. I’m so clueless. I thought we weren’t getting it and then we got the card sent to are old address. So my DH had to call for another one. It was so late I thought it was the second round. It’s so weird because we have been doing direct deposit or withdrawal for taxes for the last 6+ years. Same bank account but they didn’t have the info.

Ummm we just got a notice from ours .. it’s going up $550 a month in 2021. It’s disgusting

Same here, I’ve used the same bank account for years & they had no problem withdrawing from it in April! When I tried to add the direct deposit info on the IRS website I kept getting a message saying “the info doesn’t match our records”...so dumb!
